Statement: Big media are dinosaurs. Those who want to survive must be able to adapt.
He is the head of content at Óčko TV which celebrated 22 years of its existence this October, has four TV channels (the mainstream Óčko, Óčko Star featuring hits from the 80s and 90s, the hip-hop channel O Black and the alternative Óčko Expres) and is currently one of the most influential Czech media on social media with a monthly reach of 70 million impressions.
Alexandr graduated in Culturology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. As a stage manager and programmer he manages the music-theatre stage at Mighty Sounds, having enriched the festival line-up with original interprets such as Bert & Friends, Vlasta Plamínek, Mucha, Mr. Cemetery, Muzikant Králíček Petra Marka and others.
He is a member of the MAPH association running the “big beat” Popmuseum, a member of the jury of Český slavík awards, Discovery of the Year category, and the Czech Academy of Popular Music (Anděl awards). He is the author of an alco-cookbook called Pravé české míchačky focused on cocktails.
For the University of Finance and Administration in Prague, he is preparing a training course “Video Content Management” as part of the New Media and Marketing Communication study programme. Alexandr is currently working on a script for a feature-length musical film The Fesťák. He is a member of the theatre company Ztracená Existence, for which he has written plays such as Dentální rapsódie, nominated for the play of the year. Alexandr is also part of a recessionary musical ensemble, Vagina Dy Praga male choir.
