Editor-in-chief

Honza Vedral is the editor-in-chief of Headliner, the most read Czech music magazine. He also chairs the board of the Czech Music Academy, which grants the Anděl Awards, and is the co-creator of the music series Doupě on Czech Television Art.

Honza is the author of books about notable musicians, such as Miro Žbirka, Ivan Král, Roy Ellis, and many others. As a screenwriter, he worked on the documentaries “Meky” and “Ivan – Král tří akordů”. He is one third of the voice of the podcast revue NOTY VOLE and has been an active performer on the Czech music scene for many years. He played saxophone in the bands The Chancers and All Mad Here. Honza is currently working with the London-based label Original Gravity Records.
