Josef Beneš works at the Ministry of the Environment as Head of the Return/Collection Department, where he deals with waste issues, specifically the return/collection of products which includes, among other things, packaging.
Previously, he worked as a legislator. As part of his work, he has been involved in the preparation of new waste legislation, and is the author of legislation limiting the impact of selected plastic products (the popular fixed bottle caps and the ban on plastic straws). He drafted legislation regulating the back-up of plastic bottles and cans.
As for music, Josef is a graduate of a public art school, guitar, and enjoys singing karaoke. He listens to rock music, with a special interest in the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
