Executive Manager

Matěj Burda is a singer, musician and songwriter. He studied law at Charles University, specializing in copyright and collective management. As an executive manager he leads the association PLATFORMA of Czech independent producers of sound recordings, which, since 2011, has been promoting the interests of independent publishers, especially in the field of collective rights management and distribution of sound recordings, both at the national and European level. Through his membership in the international organizations IMPALA and WIN, Matěj regularly participates in international conferences (New York, Los Angeles, Hamburg, Zagreb, Belgrade, Bucharest) and various meetings with streaming platforms regarding equal access of independent publishers to the distribution of tracks and fair remuneration.

As a part of the Prague Music Week team, he curates a programme section called PLATFORMA Music Day.

In terms of musical projects, you may have seen Matej as the frontman of the britpop band Come and Play. Last year he released his debut solo album DARKPOP. Since 2018, he has also been playing as a guitarist and vocalist in the band of Adam Mišík.
