Silvie Lauder (born 1978) studied journalism at the Charles University. In the editorial office of the weekly Respekt since 2004, where she joined after a previous three-year assignment at Lidové noviny. She covers a wide range of social and political topics, including gender issues and the position of women in society. In 2013, she received the OSF Journalism Award for her text on the Romani Holocaust. In 2018, she received the Františka Plamínková Award. In June 2023 she published her book In the Gender Trap. On politics, care, sex, violence and the position of women in the Czech Republic.
