In-house lawyer
“I’m still getting used to the paradox that music can/should be made for business and even anti-system bands generate revenue for multinational corporations.”
As an in-house lawyer for the collective manager, Vaclav has been dealing with the toughest licensing and distribution cases since 2019. He also works as an in-house PhD student at the Faculty of Law in Prague, where he focuses on international cooperation between collective managers, teaching and IP specifics in chip manufacturing. He is also involved in research on copyright law and the export of music.
Vaclav played drums in a band all through high school but wasn’t very good at it; he is a retired DAMU graduate and theatre producer.
