The headliners of the Futurum Music Club concert programme will be the Irish rapper KhakiKid and his band, one of the biggest talents of contemporary young Irish music, or the British female DJ collective Girls Don’t Sync, a group that is one of the biggest discoveries of this year’s Glastonbury festival. In addition to the main programme, Prague Music Week will also offer concerts by established stars on other days in November in cooperation with other promoters. For example, right at the beginning of November, a pair of concerts at SaSazu, where on 3 November the UK’s Enter Shikari, a favorite of the local audience, will perform, and a day later, on 4 November, the industrial rock band Skynd.
The music conference, designed not only for music professionals but also for lay people interested in the behind-the-scenes workings of the music world, will offer dozens of lectures, panel discussions and workshops. The main topics will include digital distribution and promotion of music, music creation with the help of new technologies or new trends in cultural events – safety, ecological and economic issues, as well as booking artists in the contemporary world. Panelists will include Martin Elbourne, who has been working for a long time as a booking agent for Glastonbury, one of the most famous festivals in the world, Fiona Bloom, a successful American music publicist and PR manager, and Dalse Kong, Director of Zandari Festival, which takes place in the dynamic South Korean music market. The conference part of the program will also feature PLATFORMA Music Day 3 (sponsored by MERLIN), hosted by PLATFORMA of independent record producers, and will feature several panel discussions on topics in digital music distribution.
