Musician, Music journalist

Marie Čtveráčková alias Mary C is a musician, curator, lecturer and music journalist. She is the co-founder of Synth Library Prague, a community space for sharing, creating, discussing and experimenting in the field of electronic music and sound. She mainly deals with the socio-economic context of sound and music, accessibility, diversity, breaking stereotypes in the music scene and music technology, as well as updating music education.

Marie has worked as a DJ and music journalist at Czech Radio Wave, focusing primarily on African American music and its social context. As a sound designer, she has collaborated with artists such as Eva Kot’átková, Lucie Rosenfeldová and Miřenka Čechová, and on Ivo Bystřičan’s podcast series Future Landscapes. Marie is also currently collaborating with Palacký University on research on music export and working conditions in culture.
