History  

The first edition of Prague Music Week, which took place 9-11 November 2023 at the National House of Smíchov and the associated Futurum Music Bar, was attended by a total of 2,500 people. The programme of the music conference focused on digital music distribution, the use of AI and public support for culture.

In addition to Czech music professionals, a number of international panelists (e.g. Fiona Bloom, USA) spoke at the conference, which also included workshops for emerging artists and meetings of professional music associations. Visitors were treated to showcasing concerts by rising stars of the Czech and international scene (e.g. Ireland’s KhakiKid, Bristol’s Girls Don’t Sync) and the first edition also included a technology fair, where Czech innovative companies operating in the music industry presented themselves.
